DreamsEnd Silkens
Like so many others involved in the Silken breed, I started my love of the Sighthounds many years ago with Borzoi. When life and health forced me to place my last Borzoi in 1999, a hole opened in my heart. That empty feeling was there for years.
In June of 2011 when I learned about the Silkens, I saw a way to maybe fill that hole. I purchased my first Silken, Kristull's Heart Desire (Desi) in October of that same year. My second silken, Kristull Kayla of DreamsEnd, came to live with us in June of 2012. In June of 2013 my third silken, Desi's son, Kristull Mingo of DreamsEnd came to join our little family
These three wonderful dogs have filled that hole in my heart. Even though I am not able to participate at the same level I did so many years ago, they have brought back to life my love for competing in conformation, obedience and lure coursing. In the future, I hope that Kayla will bring to life the realization of a 30 year dream of breeding a litter of Sighthounds. Thus the name DreamsEnd Silkens.
We are not a "kennel." My husband and I just love the dogs. We do some rescue work with a local organization, and at the current time we have 8 dogs, 4 that are rescues. Our dogs live in our house, as part of our family, and we would not have it any other way.
